KALAMAZOO, Mich. - LKF Marketing is proud to announce its participation in the second annual MiCareerQuest Southwest (MiCQSW) event to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 1-2. The event invites upwards of 5,000 local middle and high school students to learn about a wide variety of career options directly from professionals. The two-day student event features hands-on activities and experiential learning. The community is invited to an evening open house which will be held Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 5-8 p.m.
Based in Kalamazoo, Mich., LKF Marketing is one of more than 60 exhibitors to take part in the event. Divided into four industry areas - Arts & Communication; Business, Technology & Human Services; Engineering & Manufacturing, and Health & Natural Sciences - exhibiting organizations will transform the Kalamazoo County Expo Center into an interactive, hands-on, informational, and inspiring career and college readiness event unlike any other career event. During this unique experience, students will be able to explore careers direct from the professionals who perform these jobs every day.
Heather Isch, LKF Marketing's CEO & President, said, "We are excited to take part in this great event for the second year. As part of the Business, Technology, and Human Services pathway, we look forward to sharing real-world marketing tasks and information with students and the public.
"Sharing a glimpse into our industry is a great way to help students find a possible career path," Isch said. "It also gives us the opportunity to share our work with new audiences while working alongside other like-minded area businesses."
In addition to student-only, day sessions, the event includes an open house on Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 5-8 p.m. at the Expo Center. Members of the public - both students and adults - are invited to attend and mingle with exhibitors. As an exhibiting business, LKF Marketing looks forward to meeting with students and adults at the evening session to discuss marketing-related career opportunities.
The event is organized by Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (Early/Middle College, Education for the Arts, Education for Employment, and Youth Opportunities Unlimited programs), Michigan Works! Southwest, Southwest Michigan First, and United 4 Change. Platinum level sponsors include Chase Bank, Consort Display Group and Kalamazoo RESA.
In addition to exhibiting at the MiCQSW event, LKF Marketing is also a sponsor.
