January is a time for fresh starts and big dreams. Many of us set New Year’s resolutions, aiming to change our lives for the better. Yet, according to research, less than 9% of people stick to their resolutions, with most falling off track by mid-February. It’s not surprising; resolutions often lack the structure and accountability needed to turn good intentions into lasting success.

Running a business based on resolutions can lead to similar results. That’s why at LKF Marketing, we rely on something far more effective: the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).

Over the past 15 years, EOS has been our road map, helping us establish 10-year targets, annual plans, and the tools we need to consistently meet our goals.

EOS isn’t just about hitting numbers though. It has helped us build strong teams and stay true to our core values. The system enables us to set realistic goals, track progress with key performance indicators (KPIs), and create feedback loops to keep us aligned. Most importantly, it reinforces a truth we hold dear: great companies are built by great teams.

As marketers, our passion is helping our clients achieve their goals. Entrepreneurs often start businesses because they’re passionate about an idea, skill, or product—not because they dream of managing operations. These great ideas without a good business plan will never succeed.

That’s the beauty of EOS. Gino Wickman had the good sense to package an easy-to-use set of tools to help entrepreneurs run their business so they could focus on what they do best.

As we prepare to tackle 2025, we’re proud to say we’re operating from a place of strength and solid planning. Last year was a historic year for LKF Marketing. We celebrated our 35th anniversary, hit a major revenue milestone, welcomed amazing new clients into our family, and had a lot of fun along the way.

For 2025, our plan is clear: grow from our solid foundation. This means expanding our services, leveraging new technology, and fostering an even stronger sense of community among our clients, team, and partners. Team development will play a major role; we’ll continue to invest in professional growth, collaboration, and a workplace culture that inspires creativity and innovation.

On a personal note, my intention for 2025 is to spend more time with friends and family and fully immerse myself in the vibrant art and music scene here in Kalamazoo. Finding joy outside of work fuels the passion we bring to our clients and projects.

Here’s to a year of growth, purpose, and shared success. Stay tuned for exciting updates as 2025 unfolds. We’re just getting started!
