KALAMAZOO, Mich. - LKF Marketing recently welcomed Allison McKenna to its team of marketing and communications specialists. In the role of Graphic Designer, McKenna's primary duties include creating visual concepts in various forms including logos and branding, websites, electronic, and social media, and a wide range of print media.
She has more than three years of experience in graphic design including freelance design through her business Allielune Design and serving as an instructor at Kalamazoo Valley Community College's Center for New Media.
Graphic design is a second career path for McKenna who originally pursued a career in the sciences. She earned a bachelor's degree in plant ecology and a master's degree in plant physiology and biochemistry from Western Michigan University as well associate degrees in web design and development and graphic design from Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
"Allison is a talented designer with a very specific background," said Heather Isch, President of LKF. "We are confident that her scientific understanding and approach will benefit our clients, specifically those in highly technical, scientific fields. We are glad to have her on our team and ready to explore the new dimension she contributes to our creative team."
Originally from Mount Pleasant, McKenna now lives in Kalamazoo with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, biking, running, knitting, and reading.
In an effort to meet the needs of LKF's growing client base, McKenna will help the agency serve its new and existing clients in the Midwest and beyond.
