Wightman’s new website demonstrates qualifications and character.
In 2019, Wightman selected LKF to help in redesigning their website. The organization wanted a site that could act as an extension of its unique brand and set it apart from its competitors as the first choice for engineering, surveying architectural, planning, environmental services, and supporting offerings.
When designing the new site, LKF took care to ensure that users could easily access each of Wightman’s number of key disciplines. In order to accomplish this, LKF created an individual page for each discipline, Architecture, Survey, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, GIS, Planning, Environmental, Interior Design, and Reality Capture.
These pages made use of interactive icons that added further explanation to the specialties of each service.
To compliment Wightman’s discipline, LKF implemented a gallery featuring 27 of the organization’s most impressive projects and a filter that users could use to reference the type of service and industry each project was related to. Each gallery item was also linked to a page that gave a description of the project, included pictures, and listed the staff members who were involved with its progress and completion.
LKF also incorporated a bid information tool allowing users to stay up to date on Wightman’s potential projects.
Design-wise, red and gray are the two primary colors used in the site’s design in accordance with Wightman’s style guide.
In June 2019, Wightman’s updated site went live and continues to serve as an extension of the organization’s brand.
The website received a Silver Davey Award and a Silver W3 Award from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts in 2019.
